Price for the ball from the ‘Hand of God’ goal

The ball from the “Hand of God” goal scored by Argentine legend Diego Maradona in the 1986 World Cup match against England has been sold for around 3.35 Million USD.

It was expected to fetch $9.95 million USD at the Heritage Auctions sale in America. Tunisian referee Ali Bin Nasser, who officiated the match, had kept the ball for more than three decades before selling it for $2.30 million USD.

The new owner put it up for auction again in 2023, but the sale did not go through because the expected price was not reached. In the 2022 auction, the shirt Maradona wore in that match sold for 9.9 Million USD.
